The marine hinge B-1013 (13343) is used for the movable connection of hatches, flaps and covers, especially in shipbuilding and in areas exposed to corrosion.

Due to its design with two pivot axes, the hinge allows a large opening angle of up to 180°.

The special joint geometry ensures that the flap can move controllably around the adjacent edge when opening.

The robust SUS316 stainless steel offers very good corrosion resistance and is therefore particularly suitable for applications with moisture and salty environments.

The flat design with only a few protruding parts reduces disruptive projections and also allows use on floor hatches.

The four countersunk holes enable stable screwing to the flap and frame and make the B-1013 a durable solution for demanding flap and hatch applications.

• First, the positions of the two-axis hinge on the flap and frame must be determined and the four mounting holes prepared according to the hole pattern
• The hole spacing is 56 mm (2-13/64″) horizontally and 26 mm (1-1/32″) vertically
• Then the hinge is positioned so that the two joint axes can move freely and the flap does not collide with the frame when opening
• The marine hinge B-1013 is then fastened with four M5 countersunk screws
• The screw length must be selected according to the material thickness of the flap or frame
• Finally, the flap must be moved over the entire opening range up to 180° and checked for free, tension-free function
